Ceramic Window Tint

Ceramic Window Tint in Toronto

XPEL Prime XR ceramic tint installed at our Scarborough studio. Less heat and glare, UV protection for your interior, and a clean factory look.

ClipCar installs ceramic window film for drivers across Toronto, Scarborough, North York and Markham. We use XPEL Prime XR, a ceramic film that keeps the cabin cooler and protects the interior from UV without the metallic look of cheap tint.

Every film is cut to your exact windows and installed in a clean bay, so edges sit tight to the glass with no gaps, dust or bubbles.

Why ceramic tint

  • Rejects solar heat, so the cabin stays cooler in summer and the A/C works less.
  • Blocks UV rays that fade leather, plastics and dashboards.
  • Cuts glare from the sun and from headlights at night.
  • No metal in the film, so phone, GPS and radio signals pass through.
  • Adds privacy and a clean, uniform look.

Ontario tint rules

Ontario limits tint on the windshield and on the front side windows. Before we cut any film, we go through what is allowed for your vehicle and recommend shades that stay legal.

Combine tint with PPF or ceramic coating

Most clients book tint together with paint protection film or ceramic coating, so the car is protected inside and out in one visit. Ask for a combined quote.

Questions we get asked

What tint film does ClipCar use?

We install XPEL Prime XR, a ceramic window film. Our default shade is Black. If you want a lighter or darker look, tell us when you book and we will show you the options.

Is window tint legal in Ontario?

Ontario restricts tint on the windshield and on the front side windows next to the driver. Rear side windows and the rear window have more room. Before we start, we tell you what is legal for your car so you do not risk a ticket or a failed inspection.

Will ceramic tint interfere with my phone, GPS or toll transponder?

No. Ceramic film has no metal layer, so it does not block phone, GPS, radio or Bluetooth signals the way older metallic films can.

Why choose ceramic tint over regular dyed tint?

Ceramic film rejects more heat for the same darkness, does not fade to purple over time, and blocks UV rays that fade leather and dashboards. You get a cooler cabin in summer without having to go darker.

How much does window tint cost at ClipCar?

The price depends on how many windows you tint and the vehicle. Send us your make, model and year and we reply with a fixed quote.
